Schools

In the Spring of 2018 Bridge of Grace Missions began working with supporters from around the world to collect funds in order to begin building a schoolhouse to provide a free education for the children working in the brick kilns of Gujranwala.  As funds were gathered to purchase the land and pay for the construction of the new school building, Bridge of Grace rented a nearby building and officially opened its first elementary school in February 2019.

After nearly a year of fundraising and construction, Bridge of Grace Missions proudly opened the doors to their first official schoolhouse in December 2019.  Over the following five years our school continues to flourish by providing a strong foundational education, while giving each student the love and support they deserve.

The school has also established a clean water system, obtained playground equipment, and developed a positive reputation within the local community as it continues to bring in more and more students who had previously been denied an education and forced to work in the brick kilns. Presently our Gujranwala School employs a staff of 17 hardworking teachers and administrators who oversee the education of 214 young students.

Following the opening of our Gujranwala school, Bridge of Grace Missions proceeded to rent spaces to open up two additional schools in the region.  In the winter of 2020, Bridge of Grace Missions received permission from a landlord in Sheikhupur to convert an abandoned two-room home into a school for the children.  We accepted this generous offer, and on April 5th 2020, Bridge of Grace Missions proceeded to open their second school, employing a staff of 12 to educate and additional 138 children who had been previously denied an education and forced to work in the brick kilns.

On Feb. 14th, 2021 Bridge of Grace Missions rented a building in Bhakre Wali Kalan and proceeded to open their third school. As the school received requests to take in more children, Bridge of Grace embarked on a renovation project, in the summer of 2025, building two additional rooms to house more students.  Presently, our Bhakre Wali Kalan school employs a dedicated staff of 12 individuals to  provide free schooling for 165 children who reside in the nearby brick kilns.

In July of 2024, Bridge of Grace Missions extended our school system to the Sindh region, opening our first Sindh School in the region of Hyderabad. The school of Hyderabad School presently serves 107 students and employs 7 salaried teachers & staff. In response to the growing request for more schools, Bridge of Grace Missions established our second Sindh School in the city of Umerkot in April 2025.  Our school in Umerkot currently employs a staff of 6, and they provide a free education to 126 children. Sindh is one of the poorest and most undereducated regions in all of Pakistan. Needless to say, the children and parents were beyond excited for the opening of these schools!

Presently our monthly operation budget to maintain our present schools is $4050. To have any hope of building better schools for our children we need to ensure that our monthly budget is covered before we can begin saving funds and start planning the next phase of the Bridge of Grace School Project!
