Sindh Mission

In February of 2023, Bridge of Grace International received a calling to deliver the Good News along with relief aid to the recently flooded region of Sindh near the city of Hyderabad. The people in this region lived in dire poverty, many of whom live in makeshift tents under bleak conditions.

The majority of the people in this region are illiterate and have never had a chance to hear the Gospel, but once our team arrived, the Holy Spirit opened many of their hearts to readily receive God’s message of hope! With the aid of film and audio Bibles, hundreds came to Jesus after our first trip.

However, as we spent more time with our new flock, we began to learn more about the daily hardships that they suffered. In the region that we visited, there was a serious lack of access to fresh water. The people were forced to make an arduous round trip of 17 miles without reliable transportation in order to obtain fresh water from the nearest available well. Bridge of Grace promised the people of Sindh that we would help them with this terrible burden.

In April 2023, Bridge of Grace Missions kept that promise. Our team went to Sindh for the third time, and on this occasion, we installed 10 freshwater pumps to serve the communities. For the first time, the people had access to freshwater near their homes and no longer had to make the arduous journey for water.

In the months that followed, our team made three additional trips to Sindh to share the Gospel and bring Bibles, both audio and written, to the community. We also succeeded in installing two more water pumps. These pumps brought needed relief and great joy to hundreds of people in Sindh, and we hope to continue this mission.

Bridge of Grace is now seeking to install 10 more pumps in other communities in Sindh. The cost to install these pumps will amount to approximately $1500. But we don’t want to stop there! We want to keep installing pumps until everyone in the Sindh region has fresh, clean water available!

With each trip, more people come to Jesus, and now we are ministering to over 6000 new believers!

Unfortunately, faith in Jesus comes at a price. Jesus warned us in Matthew 16:24-25 that belief in Him would ultimately lead to persecution, and this is indeed true for the new believers of Sindh. Most of the Sindh families that we minister to live on land that is rented from landowners. Some of these landowners are angry that their tenants have chosen to follow Jesus and are now threatening them with eviction.

Presently, there are 500 families facing this threat of eviction, and we are determined to do everything we can to help them overcome this. It is our hope that our team can raise enough funds to purchase two acres of land that can serve as a new home for these persecuted families.

By purchasing this land, these families can practice their faith in peace without fear of losing their home, and with it, build a self-sustaining community. The cost to obtain this land is approximately $14,000, and we pray that supporters will come forward and help us provide these families with a new home.
