Widows

One of the most important lessons the Lord taught us is to assist those who need help, with the specific instruction to extend this aid to the widows and orphans.  We at Bridge of Grace Missions have taken this lesson to heart.  Presently, Bridge of Grace Missions works with committed supporters from the nation of Germany to provide monthly assistance 14 widowed families.

One of the widows we support is Nazia Sharif. Nazia and her son Stifnus Javed were previously slaves in a brick kiln.  When her husband contracted an illness, her family could not afford his medical medical treatment, and he tragically passed away, leaving Nazia alone with her son and a $1000 debt to the brick kiln landlord.

Bridge of Grace Missions successfully paid off Nazia’s debt on Dec. 31, 2022.  Presently she works as a maid in several homes to support Stifnus, who is now 12-years-old.

Bridge of Grace Missions continues to support her financially in order to help ease her financial burdens and to enable her son to go to school.  She hopes that one day she can run her own small grocery store and better provide for her child.

Orphan Children

Bridge of Grace Missions also works to assist orphaned children.  One of the children we have served is Sundas.  Sundas is an orphan who lost her mother to an illness and her father to an automobile accident.  She is 14 and her younger sister, Arzoo, is 12.  They have both lived with their older sister, Shamila, and her husband, Khamil Masih.  Khamil washes cars in a show room for a living, but he is not paid enough to send Sundas and Arzoo to school.

Presently, the family cannot even afford housing and food without assistance from Bridge of Grace Missions. To go to school, both sisters need a sponsor.  They require $50 per month for school supplies as well as $50 per month to pay their school fees.

Right now, Bridge of Grace Missions is undertaking a major project to help Pakistani orphans.  Thanks to several generous donations made be our supporters, Bridge of Grace Missions began to build its first orphanage on Sept. 15, 2023. Upon its completion, it will house 35 orphans along with two caregivers who will cook, clean, and watch over the children. The orphanage is being built right next to our school in Gujranwala, which means that these children will be able to attend our school as well!

This project has been a major undertaking, and there is still much that needs to be done.  The construction of the orphanage is nearly complete, but that is only half the battle.  The orphanage will require monthly support of approximately $2500 in order to provide for the food, clothing, electric bills, staffing, and other needs to properly care for the children.

For this, we need your help.  Every donation you give supports a child in need!
